John J. Rush, MD earned his medical doctor degree at Northeast Ohio Medical University, in Rootstown, Ohio. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California. Dr. Rush also holds Master of Business Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration degrees from Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Rush is the owner of 17 medical practices, all doing business as Arthritis Knee Pain Centers. Arthritis Knee Pain Centers (AKPC) is the nation’s leader in the nonsurgical, nonopioid treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee. Dr. Rush, and the AKPC senior management team, founded the AKPC Foundation in 2020, dedicated to the support of charitable organizations in the communities that the AKPC practices serve.
Dr. Rush is also the founding member of three real estate investment companies, holding an interest in several commercial properties. Dr. Rush also directs the AKPC Political Action Committee, which contributes funds to political candidates to raise awareness and influence policy regarding osteoarthritis of the knee. The AKPC PAC’s goal is to educate both lawmakers and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services about the benefits of viscosupplementation.
